Coconut; it’s good for you!!!

Coconuts, they look good, they taste good, and they feel good on our skin.

The term ‘coconut’ refers to the seed of the coconut palm. The coconut is a member of the palm family, growing to 30m tall. The Philippines is the world leader in coconut production, they are also famous for their coconut products like tender coconut water, copra, coconut oil, coconut cake, coconut toddy, coconut shell-based products, coconut wood-based products, coconut leaves, and coir pith.

Coconuts are very good for us. They act like an anti–aging agent: it reduces wrinkles and smoothes fine line, supports the immune system: fights disease and heads off chronic disease, anti-viral and anti-microbial and anti-bacterial. All of these benefits in such a small fruit!

Coconut is highly nutritious and rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, providing many health benefits. They are used to treat a wide variety of health problems such as; asthma, bruises, burns, colds, flu, skin infections, sore throat and wounds.

Coconut oils and creams absorb quickly into your skin. As the water enters the skin, it expands the tissues, like filling a balloon with water, so that wrinkles fade away and the skin feels smoother.

The whole plant of the coconut can be used and is high in protein and nutrients that are great for our body.

I love coconuts and they are a great fun fruit to eat; once you make a hole in the top of a coconut you can poor out all the milk inside, then you crack the coconut in two and are able to eat the flesh right out of the shell.
