If a man and a half can catch a fish and a half in a day and a half…

Question:  How many fish will six men catch in seven days?

 

A youngster, standing one metre tall, lived with his parents on the tenth floor of an apartment building.

When leaving for school in the morning, he would use the elevator to get to the ground floor.

When returning from school, he would take the elevator to the fifth floor.

Then, he would get out of the elevator and climb the stairs to the tenth floor.

Question : Why did he not use the elevator to get to the tenth floor?

 

John has sons.

His eldest son is four years older than his second son.

The second son is four years older than the youngest son.

The youngest son is exactly half the age of the eldest.
 

Question: What are the sons’ ages?

 

A man transports a fox, a duck and corn in a boat.

The boat is only capable of transporting himself and one of the other three with each crossing.

Three playing cards are placed, face down, on a table.

Hints :    1) A jack is to the left of a queen.
                 2) To the left of a spade is a diamond.
                 3) A king is left of a heart.
                 4) A spade is right of a king.
 

Question:  Identify the cards.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Answers:

1) 28 fish 

1.5 men gets 1.5 fish in 1.5 day
so => 3 men get 3 fish in 1.5 day
so => 6 men get 6 fish in 1.5 day
so => 6 men get 4 fish in 1 day
so => 6 men get 4*7= 28 fish in 7 day
2) He was too short to reach button.

3) 16, 12, 8 years old

4) King of diamonds, Jack or hearts, Queen of spades
