Marc’s How To Column

16 09 2009

This time I am doing a how to column on how to make your own personal screensaver. (This only works for Windows XP and Vista, sorryL) I did this just last weekend and there are some things that they don’t tell you on the other sites that I will try to help with.

In the other columns I wrote I have done how to write a resume and how to resign.

1. If you want to make your own custom screensaver then you will have to have some pictures. Get all the pictures that you want to use and put them into one folder.

 2.  Then when you have them all in one folder go to your desktop and right click on a blank space, when the drop down menu appears then click on Properties (Personalise for Vista) and go to the screensavers tab.

 3. In the tab select the drop down menu and click on the ‘My Pictures Slideshow’. (For Vista just ‘Pictures’)

 4. Click on settings then select the file all your pre prepared photos are in and you can also change the speed of the cycle and the effects of the photos from here.

 5. This is how you can make your own screensavers for your computers at home. If this doesn’t work then you most likely have a different operating system than Windows.
